Well done to Team Toa’s Oceans 17 Team!

A huge congratulations to Alexis McClennan, Jayde Hanner, Flynn Brogan and Lauren Young who attended Surf Lifesaving’s U14 National Championships AKA Oceans 17 over the weekend! These guys gave it their all and represented Trust Waikato Whiritoa Lifeguard Service well in all their events! There were some great results for first timers Alexis, Flynn and Lauren and second timer Jayde – with quarter final and semi final placings throughout the competition! You all deserve a big pad on the back for your efforts, going up against bigger clubs on a National level is something to be really proud of – we are extremely proud of you all. A BIG thanks also has to go to the Parent Support Team of these athletes, Ruth Hanner, Dana McClennan, Karen Brogan, Catherine & Jack Young  – without your guys support, putting in the long hours to transport, feed & house these athletes during the 4 day competition they would not of had the opportunity to participate in what is one of the best Junior Surf Events on the SLSNZ Calendar. We are certainly looking forward to seeing more youngsters & seniors wanting to partake in Local, Regional and National sports events heading into next season!
